Working as a Social Media Influencer

I recently had the pleasure of working with Royal Robbins as a social media influencer.

Maeve O’Sullivan ( Royal Robbins’ Social Media Intern) contacted me after seeing my portfolio on Instagram and was curious to see if I would like to work with them. I checked out their website and read some reviews from past customers, their clothing looked awesome so I was pretty keen to find out what they had in mind. I emailed Maeve back, and she asked me to pick out 5 things from their spring collection, do a review on them, and post those reviews on my Instagram gallery. Maeve made it very clear I was to give honest opinions of their clothing and I was by no means obligated to post or write a review on something that I didn’t like. But as you can see below, I loved everything that came to me!

A few days later a box arrived at my doorstep. It was like Christmas in April (did I mention I love it when things arrive at my door even if I picked them out?).

After opening the box and trying on all the clothes, I noticed a reoccurring theme: everything is made with exceptional quality, it fits perfectly, and the fabric is great.

What I received

Noe Multi Stripe Skirt in Dark Aqua

Perfect color and length. This is going to be my go-to skirt for the summer. Looks super cute with a white tank top, and jean jacket (as seen below). This skirt is super versatile and can easily pack in a suitcase or bag for the beach.

Strider Stretch Roll-Up Pant in Charcoal

I am in love with the colour of these pants. I don’t have anything like them in my wardrobe. They are perfect for an afternoon adventure as they look cute long or rolled up. They have a contrasting detail on the seams as well as the belt loops that matches the inside of the cuff when you roll them up.

Peasant Plaid Pullover in Persimmon

We all need some plaid in our wardrobe. This shirt is a made of a lightweight stretch fabric that makes it perfect for an afternoon adventure in the forest. The best thing about this pullover is its versatility, it could easily go from a day at the beach to a drink after dinner.

Sunna Pullover in Soapstone

I knew the second I pulled the Suna Pullover out of the box I would be in love. The material is a super lightweight rayon/linen blend that is soft to the touch and dries quickly and the sleeves have cute little button details on them. This is the perfect pullover to bring with you where ever you go as it weighs next to nothing and can be packed in anything.

Strider Stretch Short

Much like the Strider Strech Pants, these shorts are made with the reflective taping along the pockets and belt loops. The fabric is made with stretch so they are pretty easy going shorts for running errands or taking on holidays/adventures. The length of them is perfect for me even though I have short legs (29″ inseam).

Overall I am very satisfied with the clothing that Royal Robbins sent to me, and it was a great experience being able to work with a great company. I look forward to more experiences like this in the future.
